Yushin `Thunder' Okami

Yushin `Thunder' Okami  had an interview in CAGE FORCE EX on 11 Nov.  He reported he defeated Jason MacDonald in UFC77.  Since he lost against Rich Franklin on 16 Jun, this fight was very important for him to go on to be the first Japanese UFC champion.  He was glad to win even by decision.  He is not ready for the championship but he believes he is the only one who can defeat Anderson Silva.

Someone asked where his nickname, `Thunder', came from.  He said he talked to one of UFC staff who is a Shinnihon Pro Wrestling maniac .  This guy said his name Yushin sounded similar to a famous pro wrestling guy named Jyushin Thunder Liger and he picked Thunder as his nickname.
